ISPARTA ROSE - Rosa Damascena

HOW DID ROSE PRODUCTION BEGIN IN ISPARTA?

The story of the Isparta rose dates back to the 1880s. Born in the Yalvaç district of Isparta, Müftüzade İsmail Efendi was sent to Kızanlık, Bulgaria, for his duty. Kızanlık was one of the leading centers for rose cultivation at the time. The prominent figures of Kızanlık made special efforts to prevent roses from leaving the city. But Müftüzade İsmail Efendi set his sights on this. Coming to Türkiye with a rose cutting he had somehow hidden in his walking stick, Müftüzade İsmail Efendi lucked out when his profession prevented him from being searched. The rose's journey, which began in a walking stick, later took root in İsmail Efendi's 30-acre garden. In fact, İsmail Efendi advanced rose cultivation so much that in 1890, he established a rose garden to extract rose oil. However, his initial attempts were unsuccessful, and he was unable to extract the oil from the fragrant roses. However, in the following period, he met Pehlivan Ahmet, who was experienced in extracting rose oil, and started working with him, and after many years, he succeeded in extracting rose oil for the first time in 1892. Rose cultivation, which started with a rose sapling secretly planted in 30 acres of land, later spread throughout the city.

Today, 65% of the world's rose oil production comes from Isparta. The Isparta rose's fame has spread globally, transcending borders. With its fragrant fragrance and captivating appearance, the Isparta rose has become a coveted flower.

Isparta Rose: Characteristics

The Isparta rose is a special variety grown in Isparta, Türkiye's city famous for its roses. With a history spanning thousands of years, this rose has held a significant place in rose oil production and the cosmetics industry. The Isparta rose has been cultivated since ancient Roman times. Türkiye's climate and soil contribute to the development of this rose's high quality and intense aroma. One of the reasons Isparta is so famous for its roses is that the climate here is ideal for rose growth.

The Isparta rose is known for its red and pink hues. Its flowers are large and intensely fragrant. This rose variety is also a preferred variety for the production of rose oil. Rose oil is a natural ingredient widely used in perfumery and cosmetics. Rose oil obtained from the Isparta rose is distinguished by its quality and aroma.

Isparta rose is also frequently used in cosmetics. Rose oil is preferred in skincare products for its moisturizing and soothing properties. Products containing rose extract, such as lotions, creams, toners, and masks, contribute to skin health and provide a pleasant scent. Isparta rose is an essential part of natural and effective beauty routines.

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS OBTAINED FROM ISPARTA ROSE?

Many products are made from Isparta roses. For example, rose water is used as a toner. Rose cream is used as a moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin. Rose vaseline is especially used for cracked heels and cracked elbows. Rose soap is used for cleansing and repairing oily and acne-prone skin. Rose sherbet is produced in concentrated form and is used for refreshing and soothing stomachs at religious festivals and special occasions. Isparta roses are used in many other food and cosmetic products.

How to Obtain Rose Oil?

Rose oil, one of the most important and expensive raw materials in the perfume and cosmetics industry, is produced by boiling pink oil roses using steam distillation. Rose oil, which meets world standards, is obtained from roses grown in Isparta and its surrounding region. Roses harvested each year in May and June, coupled with climatic conditions, ensure the production of superior quality rose oil. Rose flowers collected daily from the rose gardens in the early morning are arranged in 500-kg piles in the factory's rose warehouse, ready for production. The flower cauldrons are filled with 1,500 liters of water (the cauldrons are filled to a certain level), and 500 kg of rose flowers are weighed. After the lids are closed, the cauldrons are subjected to distillation by expert experts under 2-3 atmospheres of water vapor. The condensed oily water is distilled at a temperature of 30-35 degrees Celsius for an average of 70-80 minutes. An average of 4 tons of rose flowers yields 1 kg of rose essential oil. This makes it highly valuable. It is one of the essential oils used in traditional medicine and aromatherapy, offering numerous benefits.

HOW TO TELL REAL ROSE OIL?

First of all, genuine rose oil has a distinct characteristic that distinguishes it from other oils: its high price. Due to the labor and quantity of flowers required to produce one kilogram of pure rose oil, genuine rose oil is more expensive than other oils.

When you purchase pure rose oil, its scent is also an important factor. Real rose oil carries the characteristic and captivating scent of roses. Unlike traditional rose-scented fragrances, when you open a bottle of pure rose oil, you'll immediately smell an intense and powerful scent.

But of course, these aren't enough. The most important factor in ensuring you're purchasing pure rose oil is the reliability of the manufacturer. You can get genuine rose oil by purchasing from certified and reliable producers.

The purity of rose oil and the precise processing of rose flowers are distinct areas of expertise. Distillation within the appropriate timeframe without burning the rose flowers is crucial. Rose Night produces the highest quality and most accurate rose oil.

The ingredients section of the label, which is mandatory, should only read "Rosa Damascena Flower Water" for genuine rose water and "Rosa Damascena Oil" for rose oil. This distinction is important because not all rose water and oil are healing or beneficial. Any product that doesn't contain Rose Damascena will not benefit you.

At 18°C, it crystallizes into a frozen state. When left at room temperature, it returns to its liquid form after a while.

The oil lasts on the skin for a maximum of 1 hour and a minimum of 10 minutes. The skin absorbs the oil immediately and it mixes with the bloodstream, demonstrating its beneficial effects on health.

The Use of the Rose in History

The rose's history dates back to the Persian era. During the wedding ceremonies of two great sultans, rose petals were accidentally released into the city's large waterways, releasing their beautiful fragrance. They decided to investigate this, and the rose was first known as the Persian rose. This dates back to the 5th century AD.

Later, various methods are used to lock in the aromatic herbs' scents. They boil, bake, boil, and even try the bain-marie method, but the permanence isn't there.

In the 14th century, with the advent of Avicenna, the process we call distillation came to the fore. Since then, it has continued unspoiled for centuries. The rose, of course, is the plant that enabled Avicenna to discover this. The rose is very powerful in Islam, known as the scent of the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore, Islamic scholars strived to extract the rose's fragrance without spoiling it. And Avicenna, as one of the leading medical figures of the time, brought healing to all of us. Since the 14th century, the rose has been distilled into rose water and rose oil, unspoiled and delivered.

Why does the frequency decrease?

The human body's normal frequency is 62-72 megahertz (MHz). Many factors can alter this. For example, this value drops when we have a cold. It drops even further under intense stress. Foods also have frequencies, so what we eat also affects this value. For example, canned or processed food has a value of nearly 0, while fresh food has a value of around 15 MHz. Negative thoughts can lower this value by up to 12 MHz, while positive thoughts can raise it by up to 10 MHz. So why shouldn't it drop? What is the benefit of a high human frequency? When it's low, many problems begin to emerge, including difficulty concentrating, hair loss, depression, cognitive problems, and immune system diseases. When the value is raised, a person feels much better physically, psychologically, and mentally and begins to enjoy life. They begin to see things from a positive perspective. Essential oils have high frequencies, typically between 52 MHz and 320 MHz. Rose oil has the highest frequency of any essential oil, with a frequency of 12 MHz.

Rose: 320 MHz

Frankincense oil 147 MHz

Lavender oil 118 MHz

Sandalwood oil 98 MHz

Peppermint oil 78 MHz

Basil oil 52 MHz

The plant with the highest frequency: Rose

The frequency of the rose is the highest of any flower in the world.

While a healthy human brain typically vibrates between 71 and 90 megahertz, rose essential oil vibrates at 320 megahertz. Rose oil raises the frequency of every cell, bringing balance and harmony to the body and brain. Because rose has a frequency of 320 MHz, it is the highest frequency that can truly support our bodies and, therefore, has been associated with love (to this day). The frequency of love is 528 Hz. Rose oil is the only oil that approaches the frequency of love. Rose has a healing energy that balances and aligns all chakras.

How can we benefit from the energy of the rose?

In its simplest form, you can directly smell Rose Night pure rose oil.

You can spray Rose Night oil rose water on your face.

You can raise your frequency by visiting our rose gardens every year in May and June and smelling the uniquely beautiful roses.
